The company is now prepared to launch its new generation SUV ‘Mahindra Thar‘ coming week. Mahindra, the maker of SUV, is engaged with different media houses to launch their new age Thar on August 15.

Different agent photographs affirm that Mahindra has rolled out a significant improvement in its latest generation “Thar”.

This time new generation Thar will be available in the newly designed bumper, latest updated body panels compared to its previous models.

It will have a more prominent wheel arch. The new Thar is now all ready for extreme off-roading adventures.

New-gen Thar: Looks & Design

The new generation Mahindra Thar is designed with a new body structure, ensuring maximum safety to drivers and passengers from every side and corner.

It includes some exciting features like removable doors along with the new fog lights, projector headlamps, and LED DRLS. Likewise, it might come up with a stylish sunroof adding up more fun and excitement.

The new-gen Thar will be available in both petroleum and diesel motors. For the petrol engine, the new generation Mahindra Thar will have a displacement of 2498 cc,4-cylinder, 2.0-litre turbocharged unit petrol engine system producing maximum power of 190 Bhp, and maximum torque of 380 Nm. 

Whereas, the diesel engine will be producing maximum power of 140Bhp and a maximum torque of 360Nm. Furthermore, the four-wheel-drive system will be available in both petrol and diesel engine.

Safety Features

The new generation Mahindra Thar 2020 will now have rear disc brakes. It will be offering double front airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, and a standard front safety belt.

The total length of new-gen Thar will be of 3920 mm. The width will be 1726 mm whereas the maximum height will be of 1930 mm. Lastly, the wheelbase of the new-gen Thar will be 2430 mm.
