Maruti Suzuki plans to introduce the new age Celerio before the finish of 2020. The work is being done under ‘YNC’ point name brought by the company. Reported in June 2019 that Maruti was working on this next-generation model “Celerio“.
Maruti Suzuki began testing this next generation out on the Indian road. Back in the year 2014, the company launched the first generation Celerio. And now the company is almost ready to launch its Maruti Suzuki next-generation Celerio in the market.
The company is planning to dispatch small and modest vehicles this year after the Covid-19 pandemic. Assumed by the company, delivering such small and affordable cars can probably help the company to increase its sales.

The currently available Celerio is in less interest of buyers which is hampering the company brand image. Thus, they had this well intention to offer new-age Crossover style vehicle to introduce in the market. Hence, wanting to change the current situation and bring back the beneficial offer.
Looks and Design
As seen on a test ride, the new generation Celerio looks and designs based on SUV’s characteristics. Compared to the currently available Celerio, the upcoming new-gen will look completely different. The next-generation Celerio 2020 model will carry the SUVs features.
The next generation Celerio YNC will be including many features like Projector headlights, LED DRLs, LED tail lights, Thick bumpers, modern alloy wheels, LED turn indicators with ORVMs, rear window wiper along with higher ground clearance and packed with many other exciting features.
The interior of the car expected to be much more attractive than it is now. Features such as dashboard mount infotainment system, fabric seat, cup holder, automatic AC, steering mount control, compatible for Andriod and Apple car play are also available.
Talking about its safety features, the next-generation will offer waist belt reminders, ABS, EBD, dual airbags, parking cameras along with speed sensors.
The new-gen comes with a petrol engine of 1.0-litre capacity which is three cylinders BS6 compliant that produces a maximum power of 67 bhp and a maximum torque of 90 Nm. It will be including a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox.
The company has done proper planning to manufacture its small and affordable car-based upon the petroleum engine and not diesel.
The company has announced that their upcoming small cars will be available with company fitted CNG options, offering valuable service to their customers.
The company is hoping to maximize its sales by introducing the new car by making some changes to it and expecting to regain its presence in these segments.
Date of Launch
Maruti Suzuki Next-generation Celerio is most likely to be here in Nepal next year 2021. As for now, we can only hope the company will complete its production this year in India. So, customers will be able to see it live here in early 2021.
