Honda CT 125 Hunter Cub Overview
Honda has finally started a preparation to produce one of their most exciting motorcycles, the Moped CT 125 Hunter Cub in India.
Honda unveiled the 125cc Moped online intending to start sales at the Geneva Motor Show 2020.
The Honda has already started selling it in Japan which scheduled to be delivered on 26 June 2020. It has been priced at 440,000 yen in Japan.
According to Honda company, they have already registered its trademark and patent in India.
And now that the company has begun the procedure to manufacture the Moped Hunter Cup in India, there are now high chances that this motorcycle will also launch here in Nepal.

The Hunter Cub isn’t precisely the new idea, but the 2021 version brings it up-to-date with the bunch of twists. Essentially, it is an adventure version of the current Super Cub.
They have made changes to ensure that it could cope with both urban GT as well as trails and uneven surfaces.
There are some excellent detail styling points on this bike too. It comes with the LED headlight, Square Indicators, better Exhaust Guard, and a general overall rugged appearance.
The engine is pretty much the same. The Honda Hunter Cub has a displacement of a JA55E 124cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled OHC (PGM-FI) electronically controlled fuel-injected engine that delivers maximum power of 8 bhp at 7,000 rpm and maximum torque of 11Nm at 4,500 rpm.
Because of the revised air intake, there’s a bit less power and a bit more torque which is ideal for the bike intended purpose. It has a 4-speed return gearbox.
Honda company redesigned this bike in such a way that this bike can be used both on a city street and even on off-road adventure tours. The Hunter Cub includes both self-start as well as a kick-starter.

Brakes and Suspension
This City 125 Hunter has hydraulically operated disc brakes on the front wheels and drum at the rear.
It has got single-channel ABS on the front brake to permit back wheel sliding while on the rough roads. Its travel suspension has now increased to 109.22 mm.
It includes a high-level exhaust and high mounted intact duct reducing the amount of dust inhaled.
It is also equipped with a side-mounted air filter and bash guard under the engine to protect it from the rocks.
The Honda Hunter Cub accompanies 80/90 rubber on 17-inch steel edges rims steel spoke wheels making it more durable.
The tyres are noticeably more chunky along with better grips for loose surfaces.
The geometry of the Hunter Cub has also revised with 20 mm added to the seat height bringing it up to 800 mm with higher bars for supporting more comfortable standing positions.
The wheelbase has also extended by 10 mm which is now a total of 1255 mm. The ground clearance has increased up to 165 mm from 125 mm.
It offers more range than the Super Cub with a 5.4-litre of the fuel tank. It claims the mileage of 67 kmpl.
The 2020 Honda CT125 Hunter Cub available in two colours- Glowing Red and Matt-Brown.
The Price is still not confirmed for the Nepali market. However, Price expected to come down in Nepal as this bike will be produced in India.
