The New Honda Hornet 2.0 Overview

The Honda has recently introduced its all-new naked streetfighter bike, the Hornet 2.0, in the 200cc category. The bike has already been launched in India.

Even though the company expressed the new Hornet 2.0 is fabricated and structured with various components; however, we can assure you that it is just an updated version of Hornet 160.

The brand had already recorded a patent for the CBF 190R a couple of months back, and the up-coming CB Hornet 200R appears to be identical. 

Even though the Honda launched its 200cc bike a bit late than other brands like TVS and Bajaj, the new Hornet is now packed with great features like an all-new digital instrument console, including 5-level brightness with negative LCD-display,

And also comes with the first segment, gold garnished USD forks.

It has got all-LED angular headlamps upfront, LED indicators, and an LED tail lamp.

The New Honda Hornet 2.0 Body & Design

The all-new Honda Hornet 2.0 comprises of very sporty looks.

It has got a muscular fuel tank extended toward the rider seat. It consists of comfortable handlebars and a seating position. 

The center of gravity is also central, hence providing an excellent riding experience with perfect handling of the motorbike for the rider.

 Unlike the older model Hornet 160, the new Hornet now has two separate seats.

Hence, the pressure will be less on the rider’s hands, and the seats are comfortable.

Finally, Honda manages to put a kill engine switch on the new Hornet 2.0, which was not available in the previous model.

It includes half fairing, giving it sportier and premium looks.

The Honda logo sticker is well- blended with the body graphics placed just between the fuel tank and the rider seat. 

Almost all the lower body parts were garnished with the color black, including the engine and side exhaust.

It also includes a condensing muffle to suit its muscular design.

As mentioned before, the upside-down USD forks garnished with golden color.

Additional features like battery voltmeter, gear position indicator, and hazard switch are equipped in the new Hornet 2.0.

 Engine Specifications 

The all-new Honda Hornet 2.0 has a displacement of 184.40 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that delivers maximum power of 17 bhp at 8500 rpm and the peak torque of 16.1 Nm at 6000 rpm.

It has got a 5-speed transmission system.

Although the figure is pretty less for a 200 cc motorcycle, it can run over 200 meters within 11 sec, which is quite fast. 

The company has reported that the new Hornet 2.0 has one of the best middle-range torques and excellent performance.

Wheels & Tyres

The all-new Honda Hornet 2.0 has a wide tubeless tyre on both sides. The front tyre size is 110 mm, and the size of the rear tyre is 140 mm.

It has got the latest alloy designed wheels along with alloy footpeg and snazzy decals. It comes with a single-channel ABS.


The new Hornet has an average height of 1064 mm and a ground clearance of 167 mm. 

The total weight of the bike is 142 kg, whereas the wheelbase is 1355 mm.

The entire seat length of the motorbike is 590 mm.

The all-new Hornet 2.0 is available in 4 different colors – Matte Sangria Red Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, and Matte Axis Grey Metallic.

The company also offers a six-year warranty service with three years of optional extended warranty and a three-year standard plus warranty on the Hornet 2.0.
