KTM DUKE 200 BS6
In recent news, the official distributor of KTM bikes, Hanshraj Hulascand & Company, has introduced the BS6 model of KTM Duke 200 in Nepal.
The company had opened the booking of the BS6 version after BS4 KTM Duke 200 was all sold out. But due to the ongoing lockdown, the company cannot sell the BS6 version of Duke 200 in the market.
Therefore it could take some time to reach its official showroom.

Body, Design, and Features.
The Duke 200 BS6 version looks similar to the Duke 250. Moreover, it comes with a sharper and muscular outlook.
But unlike Duke 250, the new Duke 200 consists of new liveries, and it still uses an underbelly exhaust layout.
The latest Duke 200 puts the ‘Duke’ label through the gas tank while the 200 logo is underneath its name.
The new Duke 200 BS6 version is now packed with the latest and updated features.
The naked sports bike Duke 200 obtains frame and design from its older cousin Duke 250.
On the front side, the Duke 200 receives the halogen headlamp LED DRLs and a new LED tail lamp identical to that of the KTM 250 Duke.
The same indicator used in BS4 Duke is placed in the center, whereas the Tell-tale lights are placed just above the speedometer.
Like before, Duke 200 BS6 carries the same digital instrument console, which indicates real-time fuel efficiency, gear position, services, clock, side stand warning light, and average fuel efficiency.

The BS6 KTM Duke 200 has a total displacement of 199.5 cc single-cylinder, FI, liquid-cooled engine. The engine produces 25 PS of power at 10,000 rpm and 19.3 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm (Now dropped by 0.2 NM).
Furthermore, It consists of a 6-speed transmission gearbox.
Brakes & Suspension
The latest Duke 200 BS6 version is equipped with a new split-trellis frame similar to the 250 Duke and KTM 390 Duke. Besides, it still adopts WP’s upside-fork of 43 mm and mono-shock.
The same old front attaches the Duke 200 and rear discs of 300 mm and 230 mm. It also has dual-channel ABS.

KTM 200 Competitors in Nepali Market:
The new Duke 200 will first compete against- Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 and TVS Apache 200.
And looking at its price range, the Duke will likewise compete against Suzuki Gixxer SF and the new upcoming motorcycles in Nepal “Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 and Husqvarna Svartpilen 250.
The KTM 200 Duke BS6 comes in one single variant.

The company has reported that the motorcycles will be sold to customers after the lockdown ends. It will be the first motorcycle of 200 cc segments to come to Nepal with the BS6 pollution standard.
